The ramblings of a man confronted by the realities of a lockdown in Ireland.

Isolation is pretty hard, you think your brain is overcharged.
Some say that I'm goin' crazy, going outta my mind, well you might be right.

Day drinking, but not in the park, no-ones in the bars, by order of those in charge.
2k and no crossing the line, well I'm thinking again, you might be right.

This Corona is giving me the blues.

Wash your hands, wash your face, wear your mask, wear your gloves, sanitise (don't get it in your eyes);
Take a chance? Get 'er bucked? Outta luck.
I'm afraid ICU will be the place for you

Stay at home, stay in bed, isolate, but don't forget, to comprehend, it's just for 14 days.
Clear yourself, make it safe, think again, hesitate, meditate, then do it all again.

Today's activities involve getting drunk by yourself and shouting at sheep in the field behind your house.
I feel sorry for the pioneers in our generation.
They must be so bored these days;
nothing to do, no-one to see, Netflix only has so many crap TV shows.
After all, it's only fair we don't discriminate..there's families out there too.
Them poor souls have to share their beers...it's double the cost of their sanity.
And what about the kids?!
Sure they don't care!
Sure it's an early summer holiday for them!
Who gives a crap?!"

This isolation is stupid hard, brains overcharged, need a pint in a bar.
It's no way an alcoholic excuse, a conversation excuse, I'm thinking clearly of you.
We'll go drinking when this is all at an end, continue on the trend, sure this is all that we'll know.
We'll vaccinate, procrastinate, elaborate, on all the things we never did, sure where else will we go?!

Get back to normal, back to work, and back to seeing the same faces that you've grown to hate and ignore.
Back to him, and back to her, and back to all the same complaints about "HOW WE'RE BORED!"
